Ingredients
  

  • 3 large eggs room temperature for fluffier batter
  • cup whole milk adds creaminess and moisture
  • cup all-purpose flour provides structure for puffing
  • 2 tablespoon sugar for a touch of sweetness
  • ¼ teaspoon salt enhances overall flavor
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract adds warm, fragrant flavor
  • 2 tablespoon butter for richness and golden edges

Method
 

  1. Combine the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, salt, and vanilla in a blender. Blend until completely smooth and lump-free. prep
  2. Let the batter rest at room temperature while you preheat the oven. prep
  3. Place a 10-inch cast iron skillet in the oven and preheat to 425°F. Once oven reaches temperature, let skillet heat for 10 more minutes. prep
  4. Using oven mitts, carefully remove the hot skillet and add the butter. Swirl to coat the bottom and sides, then return to oven for 30–60 seconds until butter begins to brown. prep
  5. Remove skillet again, swirl butter evenly, and quickly pour in the prepared batter. assemble
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 14–15 minutes, until the Dutch Baby is puffed and golden brown. bake
  7. Slice into 4–6 pieces and serve immediately with maple syrup and fresh berries if desired. finish
