Ingredients
  

For The Dough
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour - spooned and leveled
  • 1 packet instant yeast - about 2¼ tsp
  • 1 cup warm water - around 110°F bath temperature
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil - plus extra for greasing
  • 1 teaspoon sugar - activates yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt - enhances flavor
Garlic Butter Magic
  • 4 tablespoon butter - melted
  • 3 cloves garlic - minced
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder - optional for extra flavor
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley - or 1 tablespoon fresh
The Cheese Layer
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese - freshly shredded preferred
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese - grated
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning - adds aroma and flavor
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes - optional for spice
For Dipping optional
  • ½ cup marinara sauce - warmed
  • ¼ cup ranch dressing - optional
  • ¼ cup garlic aioli - optional

Equipment

  • 1 Pastry Brush (For applying garlic butter)
  • 1 Pizza Cutter (To pre-slice before baking)

Method
 

  1. Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy, then add flour, olive oil, and salt. Knead until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise 30 minutes or until doubled.

  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds. Stir in garlic powder and parsley; set aside.
  3. Punch down the risen dough and roll into a ½-inch-thick rectangle on a greased baking sheet.

  4. Brush dough generously with garlic butter. Sprinkle mozzarella, parmesan, and Italian seasoning. Slice into strips, then bake at 425°F for 12–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  5. Brush baked breadsticks with remaining garlic butter. Cool for 2 minutes, then pull apart and serve warm with marinara or ranch.
