Ingredients
  

🔸 Dough:
  • cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Cold butter - Cut into small chunks
  • ½ cup Ice water - Add slowly as needed
  • 1 Egg - For enriching dough
🔸 Filling:
  • 1 lb Ground beef - Not too lean
  • 1 Yellow onion - Finely chopped
  • 3 Garlic cloves - Minced
  • teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • cup Green olives - Chopped
  • 2 Hard-boiled eggs - Chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Raisins - v
🔸 For Baking:
  • 1 Egg - Beaten for egg wash

Equipment

  • 1 Large mixing bowl (For making dough)
  • 1 Rolling Pin (Wine bottle works in a pinch)
  • 1 5-inch round cutter (Or use small bowl as a guide)
  • 1 Sharp knife (For chopping fillings)
  • 1 Fork (For sealing empanada edges)
  • 1 Baking sheet (Line with parchment paper)
  • 1 Parchment paper (Prevents sticking when baking)

Method
 

  1. Mix flour, butter, egg, and cold water into dough; rest in fridge 30 min.

  2. Brown beef, sauté onions and garlic, then season with spices.
